Thanks for everyone who came to the wedding. We really appreciated all your love and support. We both had a great time, and I really just was so happy to have my friends and family. Kate and I went over to make cookies at my Aunt’s house. All of my mom’s sisters were there making cookies! They make a ton of cookies, and it is a lot of work.

Kate and I went to my parents house for Thanksgiving. It was great fun, great food, and we got to play Settlers of Catan with my sister and niece and nephew.

Kate’s parent came to town this past week to visit for a couple of days. It was great having them here, and I’m thankful they were able to stop on their way through back to Rhode Island. Here we are at dinner at an Italian restaurant. Yum yum!

Well, the time has come to move to Tennessee. Yes, I am headed south. It is wonderful that Kate is also coming with me down there. Why you ask? It just seems like the perfect time, and the perfect thing to do. Being near all my family, being in warmer weather, getting a good change of pace of life. Getting to begin to create a life with Kate. Plus, it will really be an adventure.

Our POD arrived, and we packed it up. all our stuff is now in it, and will be transported to Tennessee. We are looking forward to the adventure and all that life will bring.

I took a trip to Tennessee with Kate. It was our first trip together anywhere. We had so much fun, and it was a very very full trip! We got to drive to my cousin’s wedding in Chattanooga. Mexican food (including a birthday celebration). I got to hear Kate play the violin with my Dad’s guitar. We had a bonfire. All in all it was a great trip. And, there are tons of pictures for those of you wanting to see more. I’m very happy I met Kate.

Today, a bunch of the folks in our neighborhood got together to clean up the fence along our streets. We raked, and clipped, and stuffed limbs, twigs, leaves, bushes into bags. Lots of sweeping went on. The best part, was that I got to meet a bunch of the people in my neighborhood that I hadn’t met yet. And, one of things I want is a closer community feeling at home. I’m glad I went.

I flew out to California to hang out with a group of my MIT friends. We all get together on Labor Day in some part of the country to play games. We play all kinds of card games, board games, and even some games that people have made up.

While I was out in California, I road a buscyle. This is a very cool contraption that allows 14 people to peddle the vehicle around. We had a lot of fun riding it, though going up hill it was a little rough.
