What cake

What cake

Yes. This is exactly what my Grandma did. She ate a bunch of cake, and then turned around and said, “What cake? I didn’t get any cake yet”. She does have alzheimers, so it makes sense.

Yes, I saw this polar bear at the NYC Zoo. Of course, it is a completely strange place to see a polar bear. You wouldn’t think about it, especially during the hot summer.

Grandma’s Birthday

I went down to West Virginia, and here are some of the photos from the trip down there. You can see All the photos here

West Virgina!

July 22nd, 2005

Yep. I am here in West Virgina, at my relatives house. The drive too about 10 hours, which wasn’t bad at all. Plus, the best part, is that many of my other relatives have come to visit for my Grandma’s birthday.

MySQL and Ruby on Rails

July 20th, 2005

Yes, I have been playing with Ruby on Rails and loving it quite a bit. Though, I couldn’t get the msyql add-on to just compile. For some reason I would get the error:

/usr/local/lib/ruby/1.8/powerpc-darwin7.8.0/ruby.h:61: header file 'alloca.h' not found

So, to fix it, I had to edit the file /usr/local/lib/ruby/1.8/powerpc-darwin7.8.0/config.h and remove the line:

#define HAVE_ALLOCA_H 1

Since the Mac OS X, doesn’t have alloca.h.

After that, it compiles just fine. Now, why this was broken in the first place? no idea.

Frog at Barbara’s and Chris’s

June 25th, 2005

When I went over to Chris and Barbara’s house, the first thing I saw was this neat frog sitting in their little fountain outside their house. Very pretty, and it just sat there without moving.

Snowing, in June

June 5th, 2005

We went outside today. And it was snowing! Well, not real snow. There was a tree that was giving off all of these little fluffy things. It looked like snow, and was covering over everything. It was nice that is was really warm.

My Birthdays

May 14th, 2005
New Born

My parents called and asked what I wanted for my birthday. I said that there wasn’t anything that I needed, but I just wanted them to make me something that was personal. They came up with the best birthday present ever. They sent me pictures from my birthdays throughout the years. It was just very neat to see all the wonderful birthdays I had throughout the years. Including all the friends who were at each. Also, amazing how much I and my friends changed over the years. Thank you Mom and Dad! I love you.
